About Government Polytechnic, Holenarasipura
Established in the academic year 2008-09, Government Polytechnic, Holenarasipura, has grown into a premier technical institution. The foundation stone of the current campus was laid by former Prime Minister Sri H. D. Deve Gowda and later inaugurated by him while he was serving as the Prime Minister of India.
The college is situated in a beautiful and eco-friendly environment, covering an expansive 10.5-acre campus on the outskirts of Holenarasipura. Conveniently located about 3 kilometers from the town’s bus stand and railway station, the institution ensures easy accessibility for students and faculty.
As an associate institution under the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education, Government Polytechnic, Holenarasipura, upholds high standards of education and discipline. Each branch follows a prescribed dress code, fostering a sense of unity and professionalism among students.
Women Empowerment Cell
In recent years, women’s participation in the public sphere has significantly increased. However, alongside this progress, concerns about gender-based discrimination and violence have also risen. While women continue to advance in all fields, societal attitudes toward their empowerment have not always kept pace. Many women feel the need for a dedicated support system in their workplaces and educational institutions to ensure their security and well-being.
Recognizing this need, we have established the Women Empowerment Cell to provide a safe and inclusive space for female students and staff. This cell addresses various issues, including gender discrimination and workplace harassment, while working toward fostering confidence, safety, and equality for women in our institution.
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
The institution is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all employees and students. To reinforce this commitment, we have constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address grievances related to workplace misconduct, particularly sexual harassment.

In addition to handling grievances, the committee actively monitors existing security measures on campus and recommends improvements to enhance safety and well-being.
